National Commanders Update
I want to thank the National Executive Board for the outstanding work they have been involved with since our National Conference in Corpus Christi. We have been doing a considerable amount of supportive and cooperative work with the goal of enhancing the positive image of the American GI Forum of the United States. Sometimes it is difficult to deal with facts and reality. The reality is that nationally we are slowly gaining the momentum to once again bring back respectability and worthy recognition to this proud veterans family organization. Much harm has been done and continues to be done by some individuals who think they do not have to abide by the National Constitution or the will of the membership. This will change at the Mid Year Conference. It has to change or else we will all be responsible for the deterioration of a great organization. Also, I want to thank the National Board of Directors who continues to represent the American GI Forum of the United States with demonstrated dignity and pride by their respective chapters and states. I commend you and highly value your commitment to our veterans and their families. I look forward to visiting with all of you at our National Mid Year Conference in San Antonio.
