Rolling Thunder Crosses Washington D.C.’s Memorial Bridge in Tribute

For the twenty-third year in a row, Rolling Thunder held their annual motorcycle rally in Washington, DC during the Memorial Day weekend. About 400,000 veterans roared across Washington, DC on their motorcycles as a tribute to American war heroes.

Old Guard Soldiers perform 'Flags In' at ANC

WASHINGTON (Army News Service, May 28, 2010) -- Soldiers from the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) were joined by ceremonial units from around the military May 27 to perform "Flags In," their annual Memorial Day tradition at Arlington National Cemetery.

U.S., South Korea increase military exercises following attack

WASHINGTON (May 24, 2010) -- The Gulf of Mexico oil spill could soon reach levels on par with the 250,000 barrels of crude oil lost in the 1989 Exxon Valdez tanker spill, the Coast Guard commandant said yesterday in an interview on CNN's State of the Union.
